Man I can't wait to finish my ladies tattoo so I can start my LB mermaid.  I'm jealous of this awesome tattoo and I'm quite pleased that soon enough I'll be sporting one similar (though mine should have smaller tata's)!

Anchors Away

As I mentioned in a post a few entries ago I've gotten started a tattoo depicting myself and two of my closest friends.  So LB and I discussed a mutual tattoo to symbolize our friendship as well.  We decided on mermaids that look like each other.  She's got an appointment on Saturday to start hers and I have, probably, one more sitting to finish my first ladies tattoo and then I can start my LB mermaid!!

Girlies

Having friends who are talented enough to be tattoo artists is a wonderful perk in life.  Especially if you like tattoos.  I've gotten three new tattoos this year alone and I still have two other ideas I want completed that are front and centre in my mind.  I'm starting to run out of hidable body parts though. 

Here is my latest.  Since this picture was taken I've had cherry blossoms and some colouring added but I still have one sitting left, I suspect, until it's completely done. 

It's a rendering done by the talented Esther Sanchez of Margaret, Jodi and myself.  We've been planning this tattoo for a couple of years now and I'm very excited to actually be almost finished.  Both Margaret and Jodi plan to get the same tattoo for themselves as well.

Armed and Ready

Yesterday Eric and I went to get a new tattoo.  It's been 10 years for him and probably 2 years, easily, since I've gotten one.  Man, I was long overdue now that I think of it.  Anyway, we've been tossing the idea around for a few weeks now, almost jokingly.  But tattoos don't always have to have some deep personal meaning.  Sometimes they can just be fun and remind you of a certain point in your life.  Right now, I slay zombies. 

So, since we are Call of Duty Zombie killing fiends and it was in fact the day of Rapture we thought it would be appropriate to arm ourselves with a sweet Ray Gun.  So that's what we did.  Nothing romantic about our matching tattoos as our friend Anthony, who always kills zombies with us, also got the same design. 

Here she is, all sweet and shiny!

I have an appointment for two Saturdays from now to get another piece done on my back.  One that I'm really looking forward to having on me.  I'll post more details about that one, with a picture when it's completed. 

Gold with a Capital G

I think I may have stumbled across the absolute best tattoo idea ever.  I'm almost tempted to steal the idea and have the most amazing back piece done.
